Verdict

Nicky Richards is in fine form and EVERYDAY CHAMPAGNE can defy topweight to add to the stable total. He has his conditions and the feeling remains that he's better than his current 103 rating. Hopefully he'll prove the point here. Steel Wave's last four wins all came under regular partner, Tabitha Worsley, and the gelding showed he's no back number at 13 with a game Stratford success latest. He's upped to a mark of 104 but is a solid veteran who should run his race again. Recent Cartmel winner, Do No Wrong, is respected but tackles three miles for the first time and Heart Of A Lion houses untapped potential and could go close. Junior Massini, much improved the last twice, can't be excluded along with Irish raider Camilla's Choice, who is still a maiden under Rules though.
