Verdict
In this modest handicap for novice chasers, we'll side with Batten Down ahead of Time To Reflect. The selection is probably not one to take a short price about for, much as he won well in a first-time visor at Stratford two runs ago, it failed to work a second time for Jonjo O'Neill's runner, who is clearly not straightforward. However, he is fitted with first-time blinkers today and they might just do the trick in what is a modest contest. Remarkably, Winter Garden has finished second in eight of his last 11 races but, even though the going may have been responsible, did not seem to be enjoying things last time at Perth. Therefore, Time To Reflect, who showed improved from to finish second at Cartmel last time, might give the selection the most to do. With Normandy Sands and Finzi making their chasing debuts. Look To The Future, who showed promise on his chasing debut in April, might prove best of the others. Overall, though, we are prepared to side with Batten Down.
