Verdict

Thyne For Intersky has not always looked a natural over hurdles but ran, and jumped, better last time and is taken to make a winning debut in this grade with Donovan and Rutledge Red rated the main dangers. Donovan has shown improved form this term but another 6lb rise for his latest success leaves Richard Guest's gelding with more to do. Sue Smith's Araglin is a consistent performer but seems to be in the grip of the handicapper at present. Hamadeenah tends to find at least one too good and is likely to do so again and a bigger threat may come from Rutledge Red. Malcolm Jefferson's gelding failed to complete in two starts over fences last term but looks well treated on his return to the smaller obstacles and he could be interesting if fit enough after a lay off. Paul Keane's Wizard Of The West faces no easy task on his handicap debut and preference is for Thyne For Intersky. A dual bumper winner, Jonjo O'Neill's gelding failed to impress with his jumping in his first two starts over hurdles but jumped much better when second to Chevronne at Worcester last month and, with further improvement to come, he looks worth a bet.
