Verdict
A poor field goes to post for this maiden hurdle and it will not take much winning and the principals look to be Strictly Speaking, Lord Alyn and Rascella and we will take a chance on Lord Alyn The gelding from the Charlie Egerton yard won a bumper in good style last time out. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and he will be hard to beast under conditions that suit. Strictly Speaking rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Royal Prodigy but that was on easier ground and for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. Rascella is also worthy of respect on his best placed form but he has had many chances in this grade and has still not taken one so we are happy to side with the less exposed Lord Alyn.
