Verdict
Another competitive field goes to post for this handicap chase and the principals look to be Waterberg, Wemyss Quest and Lisdante and we will take a chance on Lisdante. The gelding from the Sue Smith yard was nine lengths behind Waterberg last time out but is ten pounds better off. He is sure to have improved again for that his second run of the season and with his stable continuing in fine form he looks the value bet. Waterberg is sure to have his supporters but he looks venerable off this mark. Wemyss Quest could have a chance on his win over two miles four furlongs at Stratford but again he was let den by his jumping last time and for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. Thunderpoint is also worthy of consideration he won well, on his first try over this trip last time and remains unexposed at the distance but we are happy to stick with Lisdante.
