Verdict
Topweight Guilsborough Gorse is likely to be a popular choice amongst backers for this novices' handicap chase having found just the one too good in each of his last two starts. While the seven-year-old undoubtedly holds solid claims there is the slight impression that he may again be found wanting in the finish, especially over this trip and on this course, and may do better over further. The reappearing Khayali would have claims if fit enough for his first outing of the campaign, while Moor Hall Rock looks well-treated on the best of his hurdles form. However, the TEAMtalk vote goes to Commanche Pride. Formerly trained in Ireland, the eight-year-old makes his British debut here but in a weak-looking contest has to be respected and the booking of Mick Fitzgerald really does take the eye. At forecast odds he could be worth a small investment.
