In depth

Verdict

White Walker shaped well on first start for new connections when a respectable Uttoxeter runner-up and the Hanmer team now step him up in trip. He's a key contender if staying but no such stamina concerns surround ALI THE HUNTER. The mare has returned from a break in good nick, compiling a consistent run of form, and looks one of the more likely ones to run her race. Cheltenham De Vaige has enough weight to shoulder but the ex-Irish Glendruid is totally unexposed. Norley has failed to build on a promising bumper debut but has a first run for a new yard who fit him with a tongue-tie.
