Verdict
CHASMA was all out to win over 3m2f at Newton Abbot but that was only the third time he’d gone beyond 2m5f. The Skelton runner has a good strike-rate over fences and is the one to beat again. Perth runner-up Powerful Symbol is only a pound higher than when winning at Stratford last year so looks the danger ahead of well-beaten Market Rasen third Shady Glen and the veteran Anteros. Goohar is now visored but that’s probably out of desperation.
