Verdict

Salt Whistle Bay was placed in soft going at Lingfield last time but today’s fast ground is a worry for him while last year’s winner Sir Plato gets first-time blinkers having struggled so far this season. Poetic Force finished in front of Rock Icon when scoring over 7f at Kempton back in March while Redgrave’s earlier success at Wolverhampton came over a longer trip. NAHHAM (NAP) lost his unbeaten record attempting to make all from a wide draw at Kempton last month and fading in the final furlong. He can take up a more favourable position in today’s contest and gets another chance having won a novices' race over track and trip earlier.
