    Verdict

Big Lachie was narrowly beaten in a Class 4 handicap here before scoring at this level on a return visit. He couldn't quite cope with penalty at Brighton but was attempting to concede the winner 10lb. Glamorous Rocket was last of 13 at Ascot in May, last of four here three weeks later, and occupied the same spot in a nine-runner race at Chepstow next time yet is still 6lb higher than his last winning mark. ROSE HIP has never raced over the minimum but has been showing very good pace over 6f, scoring over that trip at Nottingham before making a bold bid to defy a 5lb rise at Newbury. She can take advantage of the weight she receives and get back to winning ways. Crystal Deauville completed a double when scoring here under tonight's rider last May and is by no means out of this from 4lb lower.
