      Verdict

A real shocker of a handicap for punters to puzzle over with quantity winning the battle with quality. Roses of Spring finished behind Beverley Macca at Redcar last time out. The latter is seven pounds better off today and if the Cowell representative is unable to dominate, it looks difficult to suggest any reversal of form. Another Victim comes here in good form and appears to handle any ground. She put up a poor display last time but has a major formbook chance if this is forgiven. It is noted that her best efforts tend to occur in cavalry charges such as these and it would be no surprise to see her bounce back. Sylvester Kirk's team have been picking up some late prizes and D'Accord is there representative here. On official ratings he is thrown in off his current mark but whether he can make a true five furlong sprinter is something to have reservations about. Tuscan Flyer has been largely disappointing but bounced back to form when winning at Pontefract a couple of runs ago. He was not disgraced behind Paddywack at York last time out in better company and for these reasons he is given the TEAMtalk nod at small stakes provided that the rain stays away.
