In depth

Verdict

Another race where the market should be watched for clues. Of those to have seen the racecourse, Roger Charlton's Change Partners has arguably the most scope for improvement and she is given the TEAMtalk nod. She caught the eye when a staying-on second at Nottingham and with her handler in such good form at the moment, she is likely to start at short odds. Mac cannot be discounted from the Marcus Tregoning yard. He has started at big odds on both his maiden starts but this maiden isn't up to those standards. Of the newcomers, the market will speak volumes as to the chances of James Fanshawe's Wozzeck. Fanshawe has a 35% strike rate with his two-year-olds this season and it would be no surprise if this one is fit and firing first time out. Dancing Nelly will probably need further in time whilst Proprius could run well at big odds.
