In depth
Verdict
With his stable in such good form, we like the look of John Gosden's Charleston, with his main dangers looking to be Man At Arms and Cause Celebre. The selection showed a good deal of promise when second on his Kempton debut on heavy going on May 3 and, with the extra two furlongs sure to suit, is clearly the one to beat. Man At Arms' third to Thyolo at Doncaster last autumn throws him up as a big danger while the Barry Hills-trained Cause Celebre also has form enough to attract supporters at this longer trip. There is some good blood in Autumn Flyer's pedigree so he might improve at this trip, a comment that also applies to Avesomeofthat who ran Sound Blaster to a short head here over a mile last September. Overall, though, we return to Charleston, who can lead all a merry dance.
