Verdict

AWESOME (NAP) could well prove another 2-y-o winner for the Clive Cox operation. The Bahamian Bounty filly improved significantly on her Ascot debut to run Campion to three quarters of a length over this course and distance, form that was done no harm at all when the winner went on to finish a respectable fourth in the Woodcote Stakes at Epsom behind three very useful sorts. The bare form of the Cox filly marks her down as the one to beat but she should also continue to progress with racing. The 6lb received from Short Call, a winner on debut of a three--runner affair, should prove decisive. It is strange to see Joseph O'Brien raiding here and his Lynn's Memory becomes of automatic interest along with Hannon newcomer, Jane Rose, and Pursuing The Dream, who has gradually improved with each outing.
