MABS CROSS made giant strides last year after winning a Newcastle maiden. She won in this grade at Musselburgh in October and, if fully wound-up, will go close to defying a small penalty. Marie Of Lyon won twice over 6f last year and was a good second at Newmarket on her final start but she might find things happening too quickly on her first try over the minimum trip. Fashion Queen was highly tried last season after making a winning reappearance at York. She appears to go well fresh so must have every chance and there are possibilities about the three-year-old Yolo Star, who ended last season with a close-up fourth in a Group 3 at Newmarket and had Mrs Gallagher and Neola behind. Quench Dolly goes from the front but may find a few of these picking her off in the closing stages.
