Verdict

Elegant Lass is the only course and distance winner in the line-up but she was well beaten behind ANNA BUNINA is a Killarney Listed contest in May. The latter has subsequently been beaten when odds-on at Down Royal but gets the vote to bounce back with Shane Fitzgerald's claim a major plus. Gaelic Art's victory over Prairie Dancer at Clonmel can get a boost in the opener while Dark Spark followed a surprise victory on the level last month with another in a Kilbeggan handicap hurdle for which he's up 7lb. Rich Belief has also had a run on the Flat since scoring at Kelso but Molly Wedger's successes have been over further. Gordon Eliott would have had plenty of options for this so the presence of the four-year-old The Tide Turns, placed in Grade 3 company at Fairyhouse in April, is intriguing.
