In depth

Verdict

Gavin Cromwell has three entries. Dutch Schultz, a dual winner on the Flat, has failed to reach a place in seven starts over timber but Fameaftertheglory has been placed in eight of a dozen starts and may do better now tackling quicker ground. Now Is The Hour has won between the flags but has speed in his pedigree so is one to note. Baby Chou was beaten a long way into third at Tipperary but Fox Leicester did better in a Wexford maiden. ENCANTO BRUNO made a winning start between the flags then landed bumpers at Cork and Cheltenham last year. He ran well for a long way in the Grade 1 bumper on the latter track in March and looks a classy recruit to hurdling. Dual Flat winner Finans Bay is a newcomer to note.
