Verdict

Jacbequick has three career victories to his credit - all over 7f here. He's been a bit unfortunate in his two runs on the track this campaign and is greatly respected despite a big weight. Nonno Giulio has been raised 7lb for a comfortable victory at Wetherby, only his second start for new connections. He'll find this tougher but looks the type to keep on progressing and can go well again. After his maiden victory at Catterick on his debut for David O'Meara, Dutch Artist looked a very well handicapped horse when sent to York for an amateurs' event and was well supported but he fluffed his lines completely and trailed home. He'll attract attention again but might be best watched for now. SIMPLY SHINING completed a double at this level last spring and raced in better company subsequently. He'll appreciate the drop in grade and is back on the same mark as his last victory so gets the vote. Shadowtime has gained seven of his nine victories on this track though the last was almost two years ago.
