Verdict

Kilimandscharo has shown improved form on the all-weather of late but is now 18lbs higher in the weights than when last seen on turf so he may be best watched with preference for Tilt, with Mull Of Dubai rated the pick of the remainder. The selection was never able to make a challenge to the winner when a creditable fourth behind Lake Poet in the Great Metropolitan at Epsom last month and, with improvement to come from the run, he looks the one they all have to beat. Kames Park is well held by the selection on Epsom running, while Nelsons Column is hard to recommend on what he showed on his return. Focus Group has not progressed as much as may have been anticipated after a promising start to his career and may need some help from the handicapper now and of more interest may be Mull Of Dubai. Stan Moore's gelding ran a promising race on his return at Bath and has to be respected but Tilt has solid claims on Epsom form and he gets the vote.
