Verdict
Last time out winners Bailieborough, Ben Hur and Shamwari Fire all scored in lower grade contests and have more to do off their new marks in a better race today so a chance is taken with Ronnie From Donny. Brian Ellison's gelding has slipped to a fair mark now and looked a shade unlucky at York last time when not getting a clear run behind Efidium. Helped by a high draw here, the four-year-old looks worth a bet in a race where there are plenty of doubts concerning most of his opponents. Jubilee Street has to be respected off just a 6lb higher mark than when winning at Doncaster last month but has been done few favours with a draw in stall two, while Nigel Tinkler's Cryfield has not faired much better in the number three berth. The booking of Darryll Holland for Eastern Hope takes the eye and, along with Alchemist Master who is entitled to strip fitter for his first outing of the season, has to be respected. However, Ronnie From Donny holds solid claims and gets the vote.
