In depth
Verdict
A poor contest gets proceedings under way but something has to win and the principals look to be Impero, Tender Touch and Leap Year Lass, and the tentative vote goes to Impero. The selection was a fair third behind Winged Lady under similar conditions last time out and a reproduction of that effort off the same mark here would make him hard to beat. Tender Touch rates the main danger she won well a couple of runs ago and then was a fair third in a higher grade than this behind Polished last time out, this looks easier and she will not be far away. Leap Year Lass is another worthy of respect she was a fair second behind Rustic Charm in similar grade and that form has since been franked so she is another with place claims. Of the remainder Tsunami is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Impero.
