Verdict

With Alec Stewart's newcomer Premier Rouge making limited appeal and the Barry Hills-trained Lyca Ballerina seemingly exposed, this is taken to go to Awesome Love, who can gain an overdue first success. Mark Johnston's colt has shown improvement with each outing, going down by just three-quarters of a length to the Michael Jarvis-trained Marbush, the pair 11 lengths clear, at Musselburgh. A reproduction of that should suffice for the son of Awesome Again who may have most to fear from Alec Stewart's Premier Rouge, although the stable does not have great success with their newcomers. Hugh Collingridge's Master Theo has shown ability and has to be respected, along with James Fanshawe's Soviet Spirit. Mark Johnston's Chisel looks the stable's second string, with stablemate Awesome Love given the vote.
