Verdict
A difficult way to round off the card and Inchpast is only a tentative choice to hold off Saxe Coburg and Our Emmy Lou, who have to be respected at this level. So too does It's Blue Chip, who is better than recent form figures would have you believe and he could easily bounce back in this company. Similar comments apply Relative Hero, who despite not being the fastest individual, has claims as one that is unexposed at the trip. Pay Attention will no doubt come in for plenty of support after his game victory at Newcastle last time. The extra two furlongs are a worry for him though and he may find one that has his measure near the finish on this ground. This is where we expect Inchpast to be seen at his best in the race. Mark Tompkin's charge has reveled in soft conditions in the past and has shaped as if this sort of trip will be ideal for him. The way Inchpast won his race at Yarmouth suggested that there is a fair bit more to come from this lightly raced individual and he has an ideal chance to prove it today.
