In depth
Verdict
The market should be noted regarding the newcomers here, but Shaydreambeliever posted a promising debut effort at Doncaster, and can improve to beat Dune Melody and Mr Rooney who have also had the benefit of a run. Shaydreambeliever caught the eye on his Doncaster introduction, picking up well to finish third once the penny had dropped. The horse that finished in front of him on Town Moor, History Man, was beaten into second at Musselburgh on Tuesday, but even so, the selection should improve and is the one to beat. Dune Melody showed her inexperience when playing up at the start prior to lining up for her Warwick debut, but the daughter of Distant Music ran on to grab second despite swishing her tail. She might just be a bit of a madam but has some ability judged on that effort at least. Mr Rooney hung left throughout on his Yarmouth bow and the switch to this right-handed track is not certain to be in his favour. However, he too has a good, high draw and so may be in the shake-up. Roman History is an interesting newcomer with the stable already on song, but we shall side with Shaydreambeliever.
