        Verdict

        BALANCE OF POWER has to give weight away all round but there was much to like about the way he put his race to bed when scoring over this trip at Newcastle last month. He recovered from a tardy start to come home strongly and should prove well suited to this demanding test for juveniles. He can confirm placings with Dream Poet, third that day, and likelier threats should emanate from the promising Kingson and Noble Lineage. The former ran a close second on his Redcar debut and the latter displayed plenty of promise when a staying-on fourth at Wolverhampton. Both can be expected to improve considerably for the experience. Obviously a close market watch needs to be kept on Mark Johnston's Oasis Dream newcomer, Dream Sands.
