Verdict
The flying Piccled bids for an incredible fifth straight win and despite the quality of the field here, could be up to the task. Eric Alston's five-year-old made the most of a very favourable turf mark to beat Indian Spark at Doncaster on the opening day of the season and still does not look over burdened after a profitable all-weather campaign. Drawn in stall 10, he has most to fear from the likes of Fayr Jag, Absent Friends and Beyond The Clouds, the latter being the best drawn of the trio. Pick Up Sticks may need the run but is entitled to be there or thereabouts on his best form, while Simianna, without a win since her two-year-old days, shaped well enough at Lingfield on her return from a break to warrant respect.
