          Verdict

          Outside Half, Beauchamp Turbo and Fransiscan look the three to concentrate on in this poor contest and the tentative vote is given to the last named. The selection was a fair third behind Woodford Consult last time, that form looks fairly solid in the context of this race, and with the longer trip sure to bring about some more improvement he is the token choice to win an open affair. Outside Half rates the main danger on his latest second behind Shades of Green but he has yet to race over further than 11 furlongs and stamina must be taken on trust, so at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Beauchamp Turbo is another that could go well on his best form but this hard puller is becoming expensive to follow and the first time tongue strap will need to improve him if he is to win off this mark. Tycheros has shown a modicum of ability and is dropping in class. He hails from a shrewd yard and should be closely monitored in the market. The remainder have shown very little and are readily opposed and for the winner we return to Fransiscan.
