      Verdict

      Rice Mother, Oldenway and Torrid Kentavr are three against the field in a tough race to call for punters and the vote is given to the last named. The selection was an unlucky in running second behind Ofaraby last time. He races the same mark here and under his optimum conditions he is taken to gain compensation. Rice Mother rates the main danger as she beat Easy Mover in good style last time out. However she has a penalty for that win and this looks tougher and at likely odds she looks worth taking on. Oldenway is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when fourth behind Frontier last time and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Of the remainder Archirondel goes well at the track and looks to be on a handy mark and could go well at a price but in a trappy affair for the winner we return to Torrid Kentavr.
