In depth
Verdict
Not the most competitive of sprint maidens, despite the large field and we should be able to concentrate on just a handful here. An obvious eyecatcher is Sir Michael Stoute's Sulzano. The Kingmambo filly tries the minimum trip for the first time here, after attempting both six and seven furlongs so far. Her third behind B A Highflyer last time earned her a rating of 76, but that rival did little for the form with her at Warwick yesterday and she may just succumb to the far better drawn Bollin Janet. A beaten favourite last time out at Ripon, the filly is another to be brought back to the minimum trip, and from stall 18 she should could go in at the third time of asking. Another who has to merit respect is Cayman Breeze, from the Ed Dunlop yard. Drawn right next to Bollin Janet, jockey Seb Sanders could favour tracking the likely pacesetter and then produce his mount for a challenge as they approach the closing stages. Tried twice over further at Newcastle, Cayman Breeze will get every yard here, though things may happen a bit quickly for him. Another who enters calculations is Raymond's Pride, who has been knocking on the door over this minimum trip without getting his nose in front. The major negative for him would be the low draw.
