Verdict
With no Making Music in opposition Lake Chini may well be capable of getting his head in front here but we are going to oppose with the well drawn Mundo's Magic, who is likely to represent a fair bit better value. George Moore's gelding has been campaigned largely at six furlongs, but he ran really well over this c&d in May when runner up off an 8lb higher mark. He also went well off a similar mark to this last time, and he can take his chance here. Lake Chini races from the same mark as when runner up over c&d last time and he has very solid form this campaign. However, he is finding it difficult to win off 68, so at the likely price we are taking him on. Kings College Boy is 4lb higher than when a c&d scorer last month and is finding it tough going, and Royal Composer looks a bigger danger after also winning over c&d last month in a maiden. Welcome Approach rarely runs a bad race but is very difficult to win with, and preference is for Mundo's Magic.
