In depth
Verdict
Synergistic showed enough over the track last time to suggest that he can get off the mark at the second time of asking, while Celtic Strand cannot be ruled out, and Thunderstruck and Warming Up are also short listed. The selection drops back a furlong here, but that should not inconvenience, and was going very well at the business end on debut, having understandably run green to begin with. The experience can pay dividends now. Celtic Strand looked as though he was bound for handicaps but Tom Tate keeps him to maiden company and if he can reproduce the form of either of his first two runs he can go close. Thunderstruck could be an even bigger danger is improving on his most recent run at York, when he handled ground and trip well. Warming Up is taking a bit of time to live up to his name, but the shrewd Clive Brittain often leaves here with a winner and at a price, so a significant effort cannot be ruled out. Little else appeals and Synergistic can take the lucky last.
