Verdict
The step up in trip is expected to suit Lady Dan and, with a fair draw in stall seven, the Danzero filly is preferred over Dixie Queen and Lady Misha, who may provide the stiffest challenges out of those with previous experience. Whereas Golden Squaw is an interesting newcomer and she looks like one to keep tabs from here - possibly over further when she has a little experience behind her. While Louise Rayner should be a little wiser as to what is required of her this time around and it will not be surprising to see Kevin Darley try and bounce her out of the stalls to get her up with the early pace. However, like the majority of the rest, she need to post a much improved effort if she is to get the better of the selection and may have to settle for a minor role today. Dixie Queen and Lady Misha should both appreciate the step up in trip and will provide a good test for any of them on the speed at the finish. However, Lady Dan has already taken on stronger opposition in her races and does not have too much to find to hold this lot at bay today. The predicted showers in the Beverley area will also be instrumental in increasing the chances of Lady Dan, who is very much the one to be with in the opener today.
