Verdict
Shannon Water's can take this ordinary event, with Mylo and Kynance Cove likely to follow him home for the minors. The selection, trained my Martin Pipe, has been raised 15lb for a three-and-half length win over this trip last time out. However, the manner of his victory makes defying that sort of hike feasible, given that he was heavily eased before the line and could have won by much further. Connections are masters are running up summer sequences with this type of horse and he looks worth following. Mylo has form off a mark of 100 in the past and races off 93 here, so on that basis he must have a chance if anywhere near his beat. However, despite picking up bits of prize money lately, he is still a maiden after 14 attempts and this does not look likely to be the day he breaks that duck. The same can be said of Kynane Cove, who has not won in eight starts. Clearly a one pacer, he has been getting the hang of things a little more lately and has only a feather weight to carry here, so in a weak affair he may be good enough for the frame. For the selection though, we will side with Shannon Water's.
