Verdict
Tom George's Dawton was a game course and distance winner last time and should go close again, but Siena Star can take advantage of the weight he receives and can land this event, with I D Technology also worth considering. Peter Bowen's gelding finished runner-up behind Flame Phoenix at Kelso last time, the same horse that Dawton conquered. At the weights today the selection should have the beating of Dawton, especially as he was making his debut and looks certain to improve. I D Technology has come up against two decent sorts in Zonergem and Whispered Secret on his last two outings and looks set for another placing this evening. The one to note in the betting market is former top flat handicapper Arabie, but for the winner we return to Siena Star.
