This is a tricky race about which to be dogmatic so watch the betting market but, without that prior knowledge, we will plump for Classic Guest ahead of anything that shows up well in the ring. The Mick Channon-trained selection showed speed for a long way on her Goodwood debut when finishing fourth to the Richard Hannon-trained Trempjane. With that experience under her belt, should go well from Mick Channon's yard. Gerard Butler, who got back to winning ways on Turf for the season a couple of days ago, saddles three here, the best of which would appear to be - unless the betting suggests otherwise - Master Cobbler, who is a half-brother to Privy Seal. The Barry Hills-trained Follow My Lead was never in the hunt on her Windsor debut and the betting market should provide clues as to how well she is fancied, a similar comment applying to Andrew Balding's Lady la Quesne, who was sixth on her debut to subsequent Royal Ascot scorer Whaazat and now drops back in trip. The Richard Hannon debutant, Bounty Quest, is by a top-class sprinter out of a mare with plenty of middle-distance blood in her pedigree, so it will be interesting to see how he shapes over the minimum trip. Alpaga le Jomage is by far the most-experienced of these and will give a good guide as to the value of the race's form. Once again, then, we will opt for Classic Guest.
