    Verdict

Framley Garth arrives off the back of a victory at Doncaster where he took advantage of the soft going. He's up 7lb but similar conditions would see him in the firing-line. Liquid Gold won here in August though that was on very firm going but Paddy's Rock would enjoy some cut in the ground, though he's better over 1m4f these days. Both Bollin Ted and JOHN CAESAR were in cracking form around here last season, winning five races between them. The latter came out best in an amateurs' event in September and guaranteed race-fitness can see him home with Phil Dennis' claim a plus.
