      Verdict

Plenty with a shout in this opener. Oregon Gift has won three of his last four starts but all over 1m4f, though he appeared to stay 2m at Lingfield earlier so should figure over today’s trip. Mancini will likely win a handicap this year but hasn’t raced since August but Navajo Star won over 2m here last month and is another to consider along with Ceyhan. MARSHALL AID was beaten only a nose over course and distance three weeks ago and, racing off the same mark today, gets a chance to go one better.
