    Verdict

Pinafore has done more than enough to suggest she can win a race like this, and is taken to get off the mark here, with Avertigo and Dewin Coch likely to give her most to do. Hughie Morrison's filly has showed promise on booth starts so far, starting with an encouraging third in a big field at Lingfield on turf, and then beaten just a neck on her only subsequent start on polytrack. Avertigo has bits and pieces of form but was beaten a long way when second in a similar race at Folkestone last week and may have to settle for a similar position once more. Dewin Coch has yet to trouble the judge in two starts, but showed some promise on heavy ground at Chepstow last time and is a contender for the forecast, as Beau Marche looks exposed and neither Moonfleet nor Vino Venus make any appeal on form or breeding. This represents a big drop in class for Pinafore, and she should not be opposed.
