Verdict

MOUNTAIN CAT carries an extra 6lbs after a recent victory at Hamilton and is put forward to score today at the main expense of Annes Rocket and Lord Deevert. The selection won with plenty in hand last time and we expect a decent run from the gelding again today, despite the penalty. He comes from the yard of Alan Swinbank, who are in decent heart of late and looks capable of completing the double. Annes Rocket is chasing the hat-trick after notching up victories at Warwick and over course and distance recently. He is in improved form of late and should do well here. Lord Deevert looks to de hitting some decent form of late but has never won beyond six furlongs and is still equal to his highest winning mark of 62. Hart Of Gold has won over this trip in the past but will need to show vast improvement on current form if he is to challenge here. The market will guide us as to the chances of the rest but we can look no further than Mountain Cat.
