        Verdict

        Not a great contest but course winner, A Woman In Love is fancied to go well at a big price with Somethingabouther and Lucky Valentine all holding claims. A Woman In Love showed her best form for some time when finishing fourth in a Goodwood handicap over six furlongs. She won a maiden contest at the track for John Hills as a three-year-old and shouldn't be that far away today. Somethingabouther will probably attempt to make all again today. She was narrowly collared by Landing Strip in the shadows of the post and at least the handicapper has not seen fit to rub salt in the wound by putting her up for that placing. Lucky Valentine was recently placed in a claimer over a similar trip at Bath but still has a couple of questions to answer since been dropped in trip. Inch by Inch ran a poor race here last time out but is watched in the market for clues today.
