Verdict

Wiley Post won easily over track and trip last time but is 7lb higher while T Maxie failed to cope with a 9lb rise last time having won here before that. HAVEONEYERSELF ended last season prematurely after landing a double. He ran his best race since then when runner-up in a higher-grade sprint at Yarmouth and an apprentice takes 7lb off his back today. The veteran Shamshon is preferred to Vandad of the remaining pair.
