      Verdict

      KODIAC SIGN has shown enough in maiden company to suggest he can win at this level. He makes his handicap debut with Harry Davies taking 3lb off his back and is just preferred to Castana Dia. The latter has been thereabouts at Newmarket since winning at Leicester in April and should have the measure of Manhattanville. The remainder are all struggling for form with State Secretary still beaten a long way when third at Yarmouth.
