      Verdict

      Richard Hughes enjoyed a good riding record here so it's little surprise that he's doing likewise in the training ranks and he has a solid chance with Winter Light, a daughter of Bated Breath who has gone well on both starts to date in better races at Sandown and Newbury. She's a major player, although connections were probably not expecting a Stoute juvenile to roll up in the shape of KING'S GIRL (NAP). The Kingman filly put together a pleasing debut at HQ when only beaten a length into fourth spot and can progress again to land this prize. Lucky Charm was close to Winter Light at Sandown and is respected but Starchant is far more exposed than the aforementioned trio.
