In depth
Verdict
An open handicap can go to recent winner Icannshift ahead of Bienheureux and Recalcitrant. The selection has put in his best efforts at Folkestone of late however he has won just down the road here at Brighton before and he should go close despite a 4lb rise for that win. Recalcitrant looks the main danger to the selection finished behind him last time out and with a 4lb pull in the weights he can get closer, however he is yet to win over this distance and looks opposable. Shaheer didn't show a lot when returned to the turf last time out and will need to bounce back from that run, whilst Liberty Run is 13lbs lower on the turf and can go well back over a track he has run at. Bienheureux let backers down with a poor effort last time out but is normally consistent so should have place claims, however in an open contest, Icannshift can score again.
