In depth
Verdict
Open and trappy, but Mr Rooney gets the tentative vote ahead of Misaro, One Way Ticket, and Multahab. Dandy Nicholls' runner was only beaten a length at Ripon ten days ago and with Andrew Mullen taking over from Adele Rothery, a stronger arm in the finish could see him go very close. He likes the ground and obviously appreciated the application of a tongue-tie last time out. Multahab is likely to be up there with the pace and has solid claims, despite disappointing when last seen (excuses for that - six furlongs on the all-weather). One Way Ticket has been running very consistently on the all-weather of late but isn't well-treated now back on turf, so of more interest for punters may be Misaro who has won off a 6lb higher mark in the past and has won over course and distance before. Cosmic Destiny and Laith are two others that cannot be ruled out, however Mr Rooney has bounced back to form and looks the call.
