Verdict

A couple of these won’t need to improve much to figure on their handicap debuts. Gone improved when dropped down to today’s trip at Chelmsford but COTAI PEARL finished runner-up to a horse rated 84 at Beverley on her first start since May and Bryan Smart’s filly will appreciate this extra furlong. Machito is more exposed having failed to build on an earlier second at Catterick while Monte Forte faced a tougher task at York last time and is preferred to Al Hitmi.
