In depth

Verdict

ALFIE SPINNER joined Kerrie Lee last winter and duly obliged on his debut for the yard at Ffos Las in March. He was up 10lb and having his first subsequent start when making all at Wincanton last month and though raised another 7lb can go in again. The stable also run Russe Blanc, the winner of a Grade 3 at Warwick just over a year ago but beaten a long way in the same race last month. Useful hurdler Join The Clan hasn't done so well over fences and will need to find more here while Bigirononhiship refused to start at Newcastle after looking a promising type on his two previous runs there. Hester Flemen will have needed his run at Market Rasen last month, his first since completing a four-timer just over a year earlier, and he's one to keep an eye on.
