In depth

Verdict

Pontefract Glory, Distinctly Jim and River Logic are three against the field in this poor seller and the tentative vote is given to Pontefract Glory. The selection was a fair second behind Maid In England last time out in similar grade and under similar conditions here he looks the value bet in a trappy affair. Distinctly Jim rates the main danger on his best form and if the first time blinkers bring about some improvement he will not be far away. River Logic is another that could go well on his best form but he has not progressed as expected so can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Salisbury World is from a yard in form and with the booking of Dlale Gibson catching the eye he should be noted in the market but in a race that contains plenty deadwood for the winner we return to Pontefract Glory to minimum stakes.
