Verdict

Most of the leading contenders are looking to overcome a recent hike in the weights. AALIM may have the best chance of doing so as Jack Quinlan's allowance will help him defy a 5lb rise for winning at Worcester. George Fernbeck has a tougher task raised 15lb for his victory at Hexham while Playhara attempts a five-timer off a 10lb higher mark. Bell Weir and Maybe I Wont have a shout on their recent form and make more appeal than the returning Goldan Jess.
