Verdict

The penalised pair clearly dominate on form with dual all-weather winner Tokyo Brown the other of possible interest on his jumping debut for a local yard. Always Archie has filled the runner-up berth on three successive occasions since landing a three-runner affair at Fakenham and is effective at this trip but MAWAQEET (NAP) is preferred. He has improved with each of his three runs over timber and was clearly appreciative of a step-up in trip when breaking his maiden the last day. He should continue to progress now over the smaller obstacles, handles the quick ground and the former Sir Michael Stoute staying handicapper is taken to have too much class for his prime opponent.
